Who we are

Zivug ("we") is an app and service for shadchanim (Jewish matchmakers): a candidate database, matching and shidduch tracking. Website: zivug.app.

What we store

• Shadchan account data: an identifier from Apple or Google, name and e‑mail (if provided), language, sign‑up date.
• Data entered by the shadchan: candidate profiles (name, date of birth, city, community, education, family, contacts, photos, search criteria), shidduch progress, meetings, notes. This data belongs to the shadchan; we store it only to sync it between their devices and the web version.
• Candidate answers sent via a questionnaire link go only to the shadchan who sent the link.

How we use it

Only to run the service: sync, backup, matching. We do not sell or share data with third parties, do not use it for advertising and do not train models on it.

Where and how

On a server in the European Union (Germany), HTTPS only, access by session token. Photos are stored on the server; phones keep reduced copies.

Candidates

If a shadchan entered your data or you filled a questionnaire by link, contact that shadchan — they can correct or delete the profile at any time. You can also write to us: hello@zivug.app.

Deletion

A shadchan can delete any profile, or the whole account with all data (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Retention

Data is kept while the account exists. Questionnaire links are valid for 45 days.
